Scientists at Chalmer’s University of Technology and the Sahlgrenska Academy in Sweden managed to implement 3D-printed human cartilage in mice. Using the Inkredible bioprinter by CellInk, they are trying to overcome the limitations of surgery as we know it. What sets the project apart is that human parts develop inside the animals. The next step is now to figure the prerequisites to control tissue development.
