With a strong push in the automotive industry for self driving vehicles, the automakers need something which is far more accurate and understandable by the cars, so they know where exactly they are going and in order to achieve this, a mapping system with very high accuracy is required, a system which is far more precise than the modern GPS and which can’t be read by humans. Here maps have already started working on technology which may be made available by 2020.
