The Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, an initiative that works towards reaching climate and energy objectives in communities, published a report on achievements in climate change mitigation among European cities in late 2016. In the report, the cities are divided into 5 challenges their success is measured against. Some excelled in renaturing urban spaces while others found clever solutions to manage water flows or urban growth.
