A report from 2014 actually shows that 62% of children feel that their parents do not pay attention when they want to talk to them. The “Pause” box, as it is called, was launched by Israeli parents who wanted to reduce their time spent on their smartphones when home. When smartphones are put inside this box, text messages, calls, e-mails and Wi-Fi are all blocked. Similarly, another study found that 47% of employees do not feel that their colleagues pay attention in meetings, which makes “Pause” a valuable device for workplaces, too.
