Environmental charity Hubbub has started the #TapChat campaign, a project with the goal of reducing water use in the UK. People are quizzed on a website and are offered tips to cut their water use. Twitter and Facebook campaigns asking people to share their water use habits are in place as well.

Concern arose when a survey of 3,000 adults showed that the average shower used more water than a traditional bath. Respondents were still not concerned, and the majority believed there was not possibly a way they could reduce their water consumption.
