IBM recently announced that they are nowpilot partner of BMW CarData, the first open data platform among OEMs. Giving BMW ConnectedDrive customers the ability to share telematics data from their BMW vehicles with third parties of their choice, and BMW customers globally the chance to utilize third party services in a secure and transparent way, the system welcomes the addition of IBM’s Bluemix and Watson IoT.
While Bluemix will grant developers access to the entire service catalogue of IBM and its partners, Watson will improve vehicle data.
