Starting in January 2017, IBM will be able to apply the Watson supercomputer technology to find the best cancer treatment. More specifically, it will assist with finding clinical trials for certain cancers and the most effective oncology drugs. The use of artificial intelligence and computing technology allows doctors to acquire a “second opinion” that draws on the most recent research.
