A team researcher is moving from the BMW Group to IBM’s global headquarters for Watson internet of things (IoT) in Munich to test out conversational interfaces for drivers to control cars. The operation in Munich is a collaboration facility and part of IBM’ global investment of 3 billion USD to bring Watson computing to the IoT. Furthermore, IBM will locate four BMW i8 hybrid sports cars to Munich where prototypes on the Bluemix cloud platfrom will be run to show interfaces between cars and drivers.
