India’s NTPC to build 100 waste-to-energy facilities

NTPC Limited, India’s largest power generation company, is looking for domestic and international developers to build 100 waste-to-energy (WTE) facilities in the country under the Swatch Bharat Mission of the government of India.

The developers have to have a track record of successful commercial operations of WTE with a capacity of at least 300 tons per day with at least two years of successful operations. The participating businesses will then be provided with land, a supply of waste, and receive support in getting regulatory clearances for implementation. Furthermore, power purchase agreements will be arranged.
