Organizations and firms looking to perform research into the LiDAR area can soon opt for a ‘budget friendly’ solution provided by Innoviz, a LiDAR development firm. Innoviz is planning to launch an aftermarket LiDAR unit, a year ahead of the launch of its InnovizOne LiDAR solution in early 2019. Dubbed as InnovizPro, the product will be produced in partnership with Jabil, an electronics design and projection firm and will feature a solid-state LiDAR device. Stressing on the need to provide an alternate solution to present technologies, Innoviz CEO and co-founder said,”companies are currently spending tens of thousands of dollars on under-performing LiDAR solutions.”
