Intel takes its autonomous car efforts out of the IoT business group and is creating a new business unit that only focuses on self-driving cars (“Automated Driving Group”). Intel aims at a better position because powerful processing chips become essential in cars. They sort through sensor readings and make decisions in a second. Intel plans a new processing chip made for autonomous driving.
