Ireland could become the first country to fully divest its wealth found from fossil fuels. On Thursday last week, the parliament voted 90 to 53 in favour of divest 8 billion Euro of coal, oil and gas holdings from the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund. The bill will most likely pass into law in the next few months after consideration by the finance committee.
