Representatives from 170 nations gathered in Kigali, Rwanda, to make an agreement on banning cheap air conditioners that work with hydrofluorocarbons (HFC). Experts say that the use of those devices will contribute to nearly a full degree Fahrenheit of atmospheric warming over the coming century. As one of the hottest countries on earth particularly India is affected where the sale of HFC air conditioners increases due to raising salaries. What is special about this agreement is that it will have the force of an international law.
