The German automaker BMW, is all set to deliver its range of autonomous cars with Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 capability by 2021. These different levels indicates the different autonomy levels and the place of driving. While the Level 3 car will still have a steering wheel and the ability for the driver to take control at any point of time on one hand, whereas Level 5 is aimed at being completely autonomous on the other. BMW CEO Elmar Frickenstein made this announcement in Berlin, “We are on the way to deliver a car in 2021 with Level 3, 4 and 5”. Keeping an eye on this goal, BMW has already announced a partnership with Intel and Mobileye.
