Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is fasttracking the introduction of  an Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). Instead of September 2020, new legislation will be applied as early as April 2019. From then on, owners of cars and vans that do not meet certain standards will have to pay a £12.50 fee to enter the city. “The air in London is lethal and I will not stand by and do nothing,” Khan said, and is entertaining the idea to expand the ULEZ to the entirety of buses, coaches and trucks as well.
