The cities of Brussels (Belgium) and Malmö (Sweden) were awarded with the 5th Award for Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning and EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK Award respectively. The long-term focus on active transport modes of cycling and walking bagged Malmö its award for its contribution in the sustainable urban mobility whereas a successful freight strategy gave Brussels its due. The event was held at Théâtre de Vaudeville in Brussels and will follow EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK Workshops. Brussels beat Budapest (Hungary) and Stockholm (Sweden) whereas Marlmö trump over the cities of Lisbon (portugal) and Skopje (former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia).
