Mercedes-Benz Vans and drone logistics systems startup Matternet have unveiled a futuristic car concept that could change how small packages are delivered across short distances: The rooftop of the so-called “Vision Van” serves as a launch and landing pad for Matternet’s autonomous drones which can pick up and carry a package of up to 2 kg over a distance of 20 km.
