The battery-electric versions of its Citro bus would enter series production next year as per the recent confirmation by Mercedes-Benz. Looking towards the electric bus as an integral part of a highly efficient transport system, Mercedes-Benz believes that the electrically powered Citaro will be a new chapter in electric mobility. The e-mobility consulting team in combination with intelligent data systems undertook systematic processes to look at not only the vehicle itself but also the charging infrastructure, energy supply, operating plans and IT requirements in the bus depots in order to ensure a smooth and safe operation.
