Mexico City approved its first Political Constitution as an autonomous city on February 5th. Mexico City had been a Federal District under the control of the central government before. Relating to the field of Smart City, the constitution is kind of special because it includes the aspect of resilience which establishes the foundation to promote an inclusive process with different actors. The inclusion of resilience encourages the creation of a fairer and better prepared society in the context of global challenges.
