Mayor Denis Coderre announced at the Quebec Transport Association’s (AQTr) 52nd Congress and Exhibition that Montreal is creating the all-new Electrification and Intelligent Transport Institute. To show and drive commitment in fighting climate change, accelerating electrification of urban transport and reducing emissions, the institute is tasked with advancing sustainable mobility, the commercialization of innovation, and the facilitation of partnerships. It will also have the responsibility to offer technology manufacturers adequate conditions to experiment on means of transport in the city.
