More than 300 million at risk of diseases from dirty water

Clean drinking water has become a scarce resource in Asia, Africa and Latin America: According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), 300 million people across the three continents are at risk of life-threatening diseases due to the increasing pollution of water in rivers and lakes.
