More than $36 million awarded by the California Energy Commission for clean transportation projects

Grants worth more than $24 million have been awarded for clean energy freight transportation projects in Los Angeles and Long Beach by the California Energy Commission. Also a grant worth $ 12 million has been awarded for other clean transportation projects. The Long Beach Harbor Department, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), and the Los Angeles Harbor Department are the beneficiaries of the grant and will utilize the allotted funds in different projects ranging from EV infrastructure development to smart information technologies. The other recipients include Motiv Power Systems, the Zero Net Energy Alliance, Prospect Silicon Valley, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory at Stanford University and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
