A new app is designed to promote last-minute food deals which is supposed to save perishables. To donate cooked food leftovers from the day’s business is problematic. The mobile app links customers with eateries that wanted to offer limited-time deals. Eateries can easily connect with people living nearby, sell their food and prevent food waste. At the moment 200 eateries are integrated in the app, including restaurants, pubs, cafes, and bakeries. A 30-year old soup stall owner invented the app in Singapore.
