New carsharing service launched in San Francisco

Maven Gig, a carsharing service, has launched in San Francisco. It’s aimed at those working in the freelance “gig” economy as delivery drivers or on-demand taxi service drivers. Previously, Maven Gig has been launched in the San Diego area and is to come to L.A. in late 2017.

Maven Gig’s fleet mainly consists of different models of Chevy, with the Chevy Bolt EV leading the way. To facilitate the accessibility for its users, Maven Gib partnered with Instacart, GrubHub and Roadie. The service in San Diego, which only started in May is already fully subscribed, raising expectations for the San Francisco launch.
