The H2 Generator is a prototype engineered by HyperSolar. It is designed to turn wastewater or non-potable water into hydrogen. Sunlight is used to separate hydrogen from the water to produce clean and environmentally friendly renewable hydrogen. The advantage of the generator is its much more efficient electrolysis process because it is not powered by a separate solar source. This in turn means fewer losses of transmission and lower costs. Another advantage is, it is locally produced and can also be locally used.
