The online resource Naturally Resilient Communities shows 30 case studies of cities that heavily rely on nature-based solutions to protect themselves from climate climate change hazards. The online-tool allows users to select a hazard that their city faces – from coastal erosion to storm water flooding, and later shows possible mitigation strategies around natural infrastructure, e.g. permeable surfaces that reduce the flow of stormwater. This tool should be an incentive for urban planners, community leaders and engineers to be able to independently mitigate climate change effects.
