IKEA announced their Smart Lighting Collection, a set of inexpensive and energy-efficient smart lighting products that come with an app to control and personalize home lighting. The Swedish enterprise wants to inspire energy efficient everyday life with bulbs that can just be switched with your old ones. After conducting research that indicated that customers felt that smart home products were too expensive and complex to operate, IKEA made it their mission to simplify smart living. The smartphone app will be upgraded with an option to remotely control your lamps in August this year.
