Israeli firm Mobileye has joined hands with Nissan Motor Corp. to create next generation maps for the safe operation of the self-driving cars. According to Mobileye chairman, Amnon Shashua, ” We now have significant commitments from multiple global automakers to generate and share data from camera-equipped ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) vehicles.” Mobileye is already collaborating with BMW and its acquisition by Intel in the last month has enabled Mobileye to establish itself as a serious contender in the autonomous driving industry.
