Open data network for monitoring pollution

To reduce greenhouse gas emissions has been declared one of the major tasks of governments around the world. Smart city technologies can be a tool in this endeavor. The Danish city of Vejle and the Norwegian city of Trondheim are setting up a network of sensors throughout the city to monitor and report on air pollution levels. Connected through IoT, the sensors provide information that can be analyzed with the help of an app. The installation can be an essential tool for the local government to make better informed decisions concerning air pollution.
