Panasonic partners with Cubic telecom for connected infotainment

Panasonic, with an aim to establish itself as a leader in the connected infotainment sector has recently signed a deal with an Irish telematic software provider, Cubic Telecom. The partnership allows Panasonic’s mobile computing division to access the data-enabled embedded infotainment software from Cubic Telecom, which in turn enables the automakers to provide over the air upgrades and also allow car to car information transmission. Victoria Obenshain, vice president of wireless strategy at Panasonic, said, “Since the early days of mobile connectivity, Panasonic has committed to ensuring that its customers have access to the wireless solutions that work best for them in the most demanding and extreme locations. This new agreement with Cubic Telecom ensures that we remain ahead of the curve in an increasingly connected world.” According to Cubic’s CEO the company is looking forward to work across a wide range of Panasonic products and devices.
