On Wednesday the Indonesian parliament ratified the Paris agreement. All ten parties approved it. Indonesia is a major coal producer and deforestation of its tropical forests for palm oil and pulp wood plantations is a severe problem. Therefore the Paris agreement is a huge deal for the country.
