Deliveries by drones have been discussed widely as a new futuristic way of logistics. A U.K.-based design and development company, Cambridge Consultants, have developed DelivAir which does not just deliver packages to a fixed address, but right into your hands, no matter where you are. It uses GPS to track your phone location and once within range, it uses image recognition technology to be able to identify the correct recipient. The recipient confirms their identity, after which the drone drops the package down via a winch.
Up to now, this is only a prototype and is probably not to be implemented for a while, due to legal issues concerning drones.
