California is working towards new homes producing at least as much energy as they consume by 2020. One building in particular, the Net Zero Plus Electric Training Institute (NZP-ETI), through a variety of intelligent design choices, already generates a lot more electricity than it uses. The training facility is working at the forefront of reducing emissions in the United States.
