Privacy Shield gets approved by EU

European officials approved new rules governing transfers of digital information between the European Union and the United States. The pact, called E.U.-U.S. Privacy Shield, is aimed at allowing online data to be transferred freely across the Atlantic and contains additional privacy protections for the personal data of European citizens.
