Improving efficiency of electric buses, Proterra has launched their Proterra Diagnostic Tool and the Proterra Cold Weather Package. The Diagnostic Tool lets technicians access all vehicle systems comfortably in one place, and provides an interface through which operation levels can be monitored, faults and issues be resolved. The Cold Weather Package comes with a front door and ADA ramp diffuser to remove ice and minimize slipping and heated mirrors for improved visibility, among other things. The upgraded version for extreme climates adds additional auxiliary heat for sub-zero conditions and a heated rear exit floor to prevent ice buildup.
