Qualcomm and Intel are speeding up their 5G efforts which they will both show at the Mobile World Congress. Both companies hope to play important roles in the 5G ecosystem which will be ten times faster than the conventional ones. Qualcomm and Intel are refining their new hardware to be ready for the rollout of new networks in a few years. Even though a finalised 5G standard still is in the far future, Intel has already developed a 5G modem at the CES in Las Vegas.
