India’s largest power generating company, NTPC Limited, has auctioned off the solar project obligated to use Indian solar modules with the lowest tariff ever. At a rate of Rs 3.14/kWh (4.8¢/kWh), Azure Power won the auction to set up a 250 megawatt solar power plant.
With this bid, Azure Power is now the largest supplier of electricity to NTPC Limited.
