Activist shareholders aim to limit carbon emissions caused by companies and make their energy usage more efficient or at least raising the companies’ and investors attention of climate change as an urgent problem. They plan a record number of resolutions focused on climate change at U.S. company annual meetings in 2017 despite Donald Trump wants to loosen environmental regulations. American companies are about to face around 200 resolutions on climate matters at their shareholder meeting next year.
