A new report provides a road map for US cities to become more sustainable. The results draw on the study of nine US cities that are of economic, environmental and social characteristics. The report recommends each city to adopt an individual sustainability plan that considers its locality and to learn from cities that are of similar character. Efforts are supposed to increase the economic, social and environmental well-being of its citizens. Therefore the sustainability plan of a city needs to be comprehensive.
