San Francisco to address traffic safety with rapid response team

Following pressure from pedestrian advocacy group Walk San Francisco and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, the city of San Francisco is asking the San Francisco Metropolitan Transportation Authority to create a rapid response team to implement safety improvements immediately in case of traffic fatalities.

San Francisco, as a Vision Zero city, set itself the goal of eliminating traffic deaths completely by 2024.
