Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled sensors have been employed by the Birmingham Airport in order to track the time taken by the travellers to move through the immigration process at the UK Border in an attempt to improve the resource planning and optimization and to reduce the queue time. Blip Systems’ quality management technology ‘BlipTrack’ is being used which will accurately measur queues and will predict wait times and will also tell the passengers about the same.
