Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, a newly established firm has been awarded a contract for the 112 MW EnBW Albatross offshore wind farm for its installation and supply. Siemens Gamesa was established following the merger between Siemens and Gamesa and will provide top-to-tail project solutions from wind turbine supply to installation and substation development. Michael Hannibal, CEO Offshore of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy said,”EnBW Albatros allows us to demonstrate our broad competence in offshore projects, ranging from project specific engineering services and the beneficial combination of power generation and transmission technology to service and maintenance concepts. This project has a high relevance for us since we will turn the 112-megawatt wind power plant into a highly profitable investment for our customer via cutting edge technology and smart details.”
