Wireless AirPrime AR Series modules and the Legato platform will support Volkswagen’s next generation of connected cars. The Sierra Wireless’ integrated 4G technology will enter the market in Volkswagen models worldwide in 2018. The company will deliver high-speed cellular connectivity for the VW Car-Net platfrom which provides various in-vehicle internet-based services inluding e.g. remote vehicle access or diagnostics and maintenance. Car owners can use applications over the integrated 4G-LTE connection.
