A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the CEOs of the three largest automakers in the world, Tata Motors ,Volkswagen AG and SKODA Auto in order to combine the expertise of both the automakers, with a vision of jointly developing vehicle components and concepts. SKODA Auto will be the project lead while the other two probe strategic partnerships possibilites in India and further emerging markets.
