Plenty of smart city projects were presented at the Smart City InFocus conference in Yinchuan, China, a couple of weeks ago. With all their differences, most projects rely on the power of data for improvement and transformation – this raises the usual questions: who will have access to the infrastructure from which this data is sourced and who controls the information produced?
