With an aim to tackle the ever increasing problem of transportation and mobilty with safety being a major concer, The Smart Highway Concept was developed by Heijmans in collaboration with artist Daan Roosegaarde, the Van Gogh Roosegaarde Bicycle Path in Eindhoven is a prime example of how cycling can be made safer along with a boost in economy and tourism. Also the concepts of Timmerhuis mobility sharing, BikeScout and Heijmans Solar Noise Barriers (SONOB) gives a glimpse into a smart and sustainable future.
