OneEvent Technologies have developed a new smart home system that warns you ahead of time when disaster is imminent. OnePrevent uses a predictive analytics engine and environmental sensors to measure, for example, motion, smoke, humidity and light to teach itself what a normal setting for the surroundings is, and then go off when derivation from the norm exceeds certain levels. In a test, the system warned the user of a fire 20 minutes before a regular fire alarm could have activated.
