SpaceX, the rocket maker founded by Elon Musk, has recently raised about $350 million in new financing, and with this, is now valued at around , making it one of the seven m$21 billionost valuable privately held companies globally.
As SpaceX is becoming a key player in the business of sending commercial satellites into space, the company is already vying to become a major government contractor. Other private companies valued beyond $21 billion include Uber, Airbnb and WeWork.
These numbers have been revealed in public filings that were obtained by Equidate, a marketplace for private company stock. SpaceX officials did not comment on the new financing.
