SpaceX. with their third successful mission with a reusable rocket this past Wednesday, is now seeing payoff for its work. Reusable rockets mean drastically lowered costs for space travel, and in turn more missions into deep space.
“It’s the difference between … if you threw away an airplane after every flight versus you could reuse them multiple times.” Elon Musk himself explained how huge of a step this is. The next goal for SpaceX is to reduce the time in between flights for the same rocket from months to one day.
