In the Smart City of the future energy, telecommunication networks and intermodal transport infrastructures are controlled and managed by fully digitized processes. Citizens, economy and tourists will find a variety of innovative services available. All of them are done (made available) by the intelligent use of connected and interoperating technologies and data.
Products and services have reached high levels of digitization. Customer interactions or the tasks of municipal facilities are largely handled via Internet and digitized processes. The challenges of life in densely populated cities, the aging society, or the mixing of work and leisure are of particular importance and they are supported by the natural use of cloud-based technologies and a variety of innovative products and services.
In other words: We will leave the world of siloed solutions to live a sharing economy and to create more value!
New products and (data driven) services will be used naturally in different situations, because 3 essential requirements and conditions are fulfilled:
1) Connectivity:
- All new devices are directly “online” or connected to the Internet via gateways or routers
2) Security:
- e.g. hardware based distributed encryption on the devices and personal authentication have become standard
- protection of privacy and new services have not become an irresolvable contradiction.
3) Interoperability:
- the high number of devices and services can exchange information with each other in the respective context and adjust their functions in an understandable logic
- citizens, companies and public institutions can make use of it as they are actually needed
The connctd principle ensures interoperability and enables the interaction of any Internet-connected device, technical equipment and Internet-based services and ensures a sustainable “works with …” promise about these devices – now and in the future. Once connected devices are available for all future applications, it does not matter if it is about products and services in the apartment, in the building, on the road or in smart grids.

We offer interoperability across all standards, so that any hardware is made available on a modular principle. In addition, different user and role concepts can be set, as well as rooms, groups and rules. For advanced usage of our IoT-platform and for everybody, who wants to connect technologie or services,…we support that as well. It allows to map any technology to our platform and therefore make it available for any kind of application that wants to be used or created.
You will get solutions for your products in defined steps and a permanent access to our cloud system, which could also help you for operations and further developments of any IoT applications.

With us, a thermostat is just a thermostat and a printer is a printer. Simple and understandable. No gimmick. All available functionalities of a large number of devices, appliances and services across different manufacturers and technologies are supported through our API and in the future with our SDKs. We only can do that building on a simple semantic model for the things around us, whereby the development of applications is greatly simplified, as we all know what you are talking about.
